A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party PDP in Katsina state Honourable Zaharadeen Babba Mazoji said the embattled Governor of Rivers state is still nursing the wounds he sustained after the PDP’s Presidential Elections where Governor Nysom Wike lost to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
According to him the Rivers state Governor should be mindful of his political career or his present comments may cost him the support of the majority of the people in Northern Nigeria if eventually he becomes Presidential Candidate in future.
Honourable Zaharadeen Babba also called on Governor Nysom Wike to stop blaming the National Chairman of the PDP on his performance during the Presidential Primary Elections.
He said he is optimistic that even without the support of Governor Wike, the People in River state will massively cast their Votes for Atiku Abubakar. He adds that even the members of the APC will Vote in favour of the PDP’s Presidential Candidate.
While commenting on the recent comment by Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina who said the People in Katsina state have no any prepared Presidential Candidate like Bola Tinubu of the APC, Honourable Zaharadeen Mazoji said the current security and economic situations which is being faced by majority of the, is enough for them to reject the APC at all levels.
According to Zaharadeen Mazoji, the APC Leadership both at the State and Federal levels is yet to execute any meaningful developmental project across Katsina state. Hence the Party had nothing to hold on to while conversing for support for its Presidential Candidate.
He added that the Footprints of the previous administrations ran by the PDP are very visible across Katsina state. According to him the only viable project within the Seven years of the APC in Katsina state is the ongoing construction of a Flyover Bridge which is yet to be completed.
