As Terrorists Attacks on Rural and Urban Communities are being intensified across Katsina state including the state Capital, People are calling on the Federal Government to Equipped the Nigeria Police equal to that of the Military.
This according the Residents, it would go along way in assisting the Police while confronting the Bandits Terrorists who are now operating with little or no confrontations on many occasions.
The most recent amongst these appeals was made by Honourable Zaharadeen Babba Mazoji a Politician in Katsina state who during a chat with Verified News said the Police in Matazu local government area where he held from are not having a befitting operational Vehicle even as many Rural Communities across Matazu local government area in the Katsina Southern Senatorial District are recording cases of Terrorists Attacks on daily basis.
Katsina State is now facing upsurges of Bandits Terrorists attacks especially in Communities across the Central and Southern Senatorial Districts of the state. The Security Operatives appeared to be poorly equipped mostly in lacking efficient operational Vehicles that would assist in prompt response to distressed calls.
But still the Security Operatives and the local Vigilantee volunteer groups now appears to be more resilient in confronting the Bandits as they have started launching their Attacks in some semi-urban settlements where they are making attempts to Kidnap innocent citizens.
Recently Resident of some parts of Katsina Metropolis and Funtua Town succeeded in repelling Bandits Terrorists attacks as the People are now adopting the self-defence strategies against the Bandits.
To this end, Members of the major Political Opposition Party in Katsina state, like Honourable Zaharadeen Babba Mazoji who is contesting for the state House of Assembly seat to represent Matazu local government area is calling on the Katsina state Government to promptly release Funds to the respective local government areas for them to assist in addressing issues relating to Security Challenges in the Areas.
